Oakland Property Management was founded by Saj Shah, an Oakland apartment owner.
Meet Saj Shah
Saj Shah is a local real estate investor whose work is focused on the East Bay. He owns and operates apartment buildings in Oakland, and he started Oakland Property Management to bring the same hands-on approach to every building OPM manages.
Saj’s real estate career began in Detroit, where he purchased, renovated, and resold 19 homes between 2009 and 2013. Today his focus is closer to home: finding underperforming buildings in good Oakland neighborhoods and improving them through thoughtful upgrades and efficient, responsive management.
Saj is a licensed California real estate broker (CA DRE #02003300) and a specialist in Section 8 and low-income housing. He knows the housing authority process from the owner’s side, and he believes good affordable housing depends on well-run buildings.
Oakland Property Management LLC is a registered California limited liability company, licensed with the City of Oakland. Today OPM manages 125 units across 11 buildings in Oakland and the East Bay. Because Saj is an owner himself, OPM runs every building the way he’d want his own run: well maintained, fairly managed, and responsive to residents.
Outside of work, Saj enjoys spending time with his daughter, visiting a new country every year, good coffee, reading, and watching baseball.
