The Cost of Compliance in Oakland
Oakland owners also pay city program costs, separate from management fees. The City of Oakland Rent Adjustment Program (RAP) charges an annual fee per unit, and the rules on passing part of it through to tenants are set by the City. See our Oakland rent rules guide for the current allowable increase.
